Agapanthus campanulatus 'Cobalt Blue'

Agapanthus campanulatus 'Cobalt Blue' is a clump-forming, semi-evergreen perennial bulb with strappy, grey-green leaves and flatted balls of cobalt-blue, bell-shaped flowers held singly on upright stalks. This species of African Lily is one of the hardiest, free-flowering and easiest to grow given a position in full sun and planted shallowly in freely draining soil. A gravel mulch will help keep the crown free of moisture and so help avoid rot. It can also be pot grown: plants can be left undisturbed for many years to give a free-flowering clump.
